Nora Gjura
filmmaker / visual artist
I’ve worked across photography, film direction, scriptwriting, producing, acting, modeling, and TV presenting. My work bridges image and story, whether I’m behind the camera or in front of it. As a filmmaker and visual artist, I specialize in narrative and experimental projects that span film, animation, and illustration — using motion and stillness to bring ideas to life.

SHADOWs
Shadows is a psychological thriller short film that delves into grief, memory, and the fragility of the mind. Following the death of his wife, a man isolates himself in their apartment, retreating into a reality where she is still alive and present. As his grip on the real world fades, the question becomes: will he find the strength to let go and face the truth — or remain lost in the comfort of illusion?
The concept of dreams and reality has always intrigued me — a space where perception blurs, and nothing is quite as it seems. It’s the mystery that lingers, always whispering the question: what if?
documentary filmmaking
This stop motion short film is a personal project that I wrote, directed, and produced. Begun in 2022 and now nearing completion, it tells a delicate and slightly surreal love story between two characters — Tim and Olivia. Set against the backdrop of life's quiet monotony, their relationship unfolds in a world shaped by routine, unspoken desires, and imagined moments. As reality begins to shift and expectations blur, the story gently asks: will they find each other as dreamed — or be pulled apart by the very forces that brought them together?
Special credit goes to Lorna Cekici for her magnificent work in bringing the characters to life through beautifully crafted puppets.

PHOTOGRAPHY
For me, photography is more than just a craft — it's a way of feeling, seeing, and remembering. It allows me to express emotions that words can’t always capture. Whether I’m shooting landscapes, portraits, fashion, architecture, events, or the quiet poetry of the street, I’m always chasing that one moment when everything aligns light, composition, emotion and the image just speaks.
Each photograph is a lasting memory, a frozen emotion, a story told in stillness. That’s what drives me every time I pick up the camera.
